    Frequently Asked Questions

How much does A-Level tutoring cost in Hong Kong?
Individual sessions start at $80 USD for a 40-minute session — roughly HK$625, and stable since the Hong Kong dollar is pegged to the US dollar. Packages of 3 to 20 sessions offer lower per-session rates, and monthly subscriptions spread weekly sessions across the school year. All packages include portal access and structured practice tools.
Which Hong Kong schools offer A-Levels?
Most Hong Kong international schools offer the IB Diploma in sixth form, so A-Levels are the British-track alternative — and provision is expanding. Harrow International School and Kellett School run established A-Level sixth forms, and Nord Anglia International School is adding A-Levels from August 2026. We tutor A-Level students whichever Hong Kong school they attend.
Which A-Level exam boards and subjects do you cover?
We tutor the Cambridge (CAIE) and Pearson Edexcel International A-Level specifications — both registrable through the HKEAA — across Maths and Further Maths, the Sciences, English, Economics, Business, Humanities, Psychology and French, plus the EPQ. Exams run in the main May/June series, with a November series also available.
How are A-Levels graded, and do universities accept them?
A-Levels are graded A* (highest) to E, with U ungraded. They are the standard entry qualification for UK universities via UCAS, and are accepted by HKU, CUHK and HKUST (typically three A-Level passes) and by universities in the US and worldwide. Offer levels vary by course and selectivity.
Can you help with UCAS and university applications?
Yes. We support the academic side that offers hinge on — hitting predicted and final grades in your three A-Levels and the EPQ — and our university counselling can help with UCAS choices, personal statements, and admissions timelines alongside your tutoring.
Do you tutor in person or online in Hong Kong?
All sessions are online via video call with screen sharing and interactive whiteboards. This lets us match Hong Kong students with the best A-Level subject specialists globally, not just those available locally. Most HK students book evening sessions between 5 PM and 9 PM HKT.
